| The machine includes the following packages: | ||
| Package I - Control Cabinets. The machine includes a control cabinet with associated Mark VII
control printed circuit boards, operator console, and power distribution cabinet.
| ||
| Package II - Upgraded Vacuum System.
The machine possesses two new vacuum gauge systems, one for the chamber and one for the gun to interface with the existing Mark VII control, including Televac vacuum gauges (calibrated to NIST standards) and troubleshooting simulators. The machine has chamber and gun turbo pumps for high vacuum conditions.

| Package III - Axis System. The
machine possesses a three-axis ("X", "Y", and
rotary) servo drive system complete with drives, motors, and encoders.
The encoders provide feedback to the computer control for accurate
positioning and speed control.
| Package IV - Upgraded High Speed Scanner
System. The high speed (2500 Hz) scanner system will consist
of a Scanner Booster Amplifier and Scanner Booster Simulator, used
for troubleshooting the Scanner Booster Amplifier circuit.
| Package V - High Voltage System.
The machine possesses a 15KW (60KV, 250ma) high voltage tank and single transistor solid-state AVR system. PWT's transistor pack uses one IGBT (Isolated Gate
Bridge Transistor), the latest generation in power transistors. See a further description of the single transistor AVR under "Solid State AVR System" on our EBW Components page.
| Package VI - Computer Control System.
The computer control consists of an S120 Data General computer, its associated printed circuit boards, a CRT monitor, and all necessary input/output (I/O) interface printed circuit boards/components. A full computer cabinet with I/O rack shall house the computer/electrical components. A rack mounted CNC mini-file system, which utilizes 3 1/2 inch, 1.44 Megabyte diskettes is included. An operator's pendant, with all necessary controls, is provided.
| ||
| Package VII - Initial Machine Startup.
We will ensure the electrical and gas supplies are connected adequately,
start the machine up, and perform a preventative maintenance (PM)
check, including calibration of the critical process parameters,
to ensure the machine will meet new machine performance requirements.
